ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Verónica Grech, an illustrator, artist, educator and art director currently living and working in Asturias, on the north coast of Spain.

I create illustrations for press, editorial, and advertising, and I teach art and didactics. I’m driven by challenges, by evolving my visual language, and by working on projects that genuinely excite me.

I do not use generative AI to create images. My work is 100% human and ethical: I think, draw, and build each piece from scratch, always aiming for an authentic expression.

Approach

For me, creating an image means playing with shape, space, and color. I strive for balanced, dynamic compositions that work both visually and narratively. I’m interested in telling stories while maintaining formal coherence.

My work draws from contemporary reality: vibrant scenes and characters inspired by fashion, music, cinema, landscapes, and the human figure.

Style

My work is often associated with a clean, vector-like aesthetic, although I rarely use vectors. My practice is in constant evolution.

Projects

Alongside my editorial and commercial work, I develop personal projects, create exhibitions, and experiment with different media and techniques. All of this feeds a personal visual universe, in tune with my way of understanding life and culture.

Desde mi estudio en Asturias, ilustro para prensa, editorial y publicidad e imparto didáctica y arte en la Universidad. Me interesan los retos, evolucionar en mi lenguaje y trabajar en proyectos que realmente me emocionan.
No utilizo IA generativa para crear imágenes. Mi trabajo es 100 % humano y ético: pienso, dibujo y construyo cada pieza desde cero, buscando siempre una expresión auténtica.
Cómo trabajo

Crear una imagen, para mí, es jugar con las formas, el espacio y el color. Busco siempre hacer composiciones equilibradas y dinámicas que funcionen tanto a nivel visual como narrativo y me interesa contar cosas sin perder el sentido formal.
Trabajo a partir de la realidad que me rodea y gusta, poniendo especial foco en la figura humana y los paisajes urbanos generando escenas vibrantes y personajes inspirados en la moda, la música, el cine.

Estilo

Mi trabajo tiene una estética limpia y de apariencia vectorial, aunque rara vez utilizo vectores. Tanto en digital como con técnicas tradicionales, siempre me adapto a cada proyecto.

Proyectos

Además del trabajo editorial y comercial, desarrollo proyectos personales, realizo exposiciones y experimento con distintos soportes y técnicas. Todo ello alimenta un imaginario propio, conectado con mi forma de entender la vida y la cultura.
